Sunday Lunch at Edulis Restaurant, Toronto

Lunch is only offered on Sundays, at Edulis. It is a very special occasion for a wonderful, hearty, family style meal. There is only a set menu offered and it changes every Sunday. Below, can be seen the dishes for today. It is an eating occasion of great value. For all of the dishes you see below, the cost is a fixed price of ONLY $40.00 AND, all wines are available at half price at these Sunday lunches. WOW!!!

Rabbit rillettes on toast topped with a sage leaf. Cheese was offfered for a non-rabbit eating guest.

Big-eye tuna poached in soy butter with herb vinaigrette, coriander leaves and crispy rice.

Early summer vegetables: baby fennel and fennel tops; young turnip; white asparagus; early yellow and orange heirloom carrots; young celery hearts; all in a bagna cauda sauce (anchovy, garlic, olive oil emulsion) with bread crumbs.

This dish blew us all away (!!!): house smoked, thinly shaved St. Canut ham, with sugar snap peas, sweet pea tendrils and shave young onions. A delectible combination of flavours and textures.

Saucisson Lyonnaise filled with pistachios, over lentils de puy, pistachios, fingerling potatoes, onion puree and wilted escarole, all in a highly complementary dijonaise sauce. So yummy!

"OHHHH baby!!!!" A highly seductive mascarpone cheesecake on an incredible graham cracker crust with fresh Ontario raspberry sauce.

One does not need to travel the world to eat like this. This kind of talent in the kitchen is a truly rare experience, anywhere.
